There are only quite a few times that Jew goes in my office because it’s always the other way around. I do not mind because I love walking. This time she visited me and we hangout at our recent favorite place, the Patio – our building’s cafeteria.
Jew is down to her last week at citi and gosh, I’m gonna miss her and her workmates that have been good friends of mine too.
Now, no more lunch/dinner buddy anymore. NIL. Zero. Zilch. Ugh.
Anyway, things change. It’s inevitable. It’s not like I’m used to it. But maybe it’s time too to be more friendly. I get overly attached to my friends and I have the tendency of straying myself away from the others. Quality over quantity is my mantra anyway.
Tagaytay road trip is very mainstream with my family or friends but what’s special with this trip is that I’m driving. Yes, I’m finally driving and this is my first long drive. Pops couldn’t take the pressure and stress with me driving so he asked me to ask my friends to accompany me.
Thanks to Jew and Ac for making themselves available for this thrilling road trip.
It was nice and I hope to become a better driver. Driving entails such a huge responsibility! Anyway, I feel such a badass hitting 100 at SLEX.
What’s going to Tagaytay without eating Bulalo? We ordered so much more for three but we have to celebrate because it’s my first long drive and we’re all safe and no scratches was made. (:
More of this!
One cozy after work dinner with Chic. Cubao expo certainly has a great ambiance for unwinding. It’s my first time to hangout on a weeknight outside Makati. I went all the way to Cubao and went through the horrible congestion in EDSA but it’s all worth it.
One great catching up night with Chic.
Cubao Expo, QC
The first group of friends I ever had. It all started when we were in sixth grade. The friendship started with fights and arguments… then things get sweeter as we get older (and more mature).
After 4 years, we’re all together again.
With Gigi, Hazel and Feb
Feb, Orange and Enen
Kamaye and Jelly
We all basically grew up together. We’ve studies in our alma mater (Nazareth school) for more than a decade- since our preschool years.
For the record, I have done crazier and bizarre things when I was still in highschool than in college.
My college friends are very prim and proper (which I am very lucky to have). My highschool friends have more twists – young and wild and free. So yeah, I was in the state of culture shock when I entered college. I think He really intended me to be in their company to keep me grounded.
But I miss to be in the flaky side of the road. I miss the rides with them. But for the night, we just simply talked a lot, catch up and sung our hearts out! I miss this craziness! I love my girls to bits!
I had a 5-day break from work because of the Holy Week. It’s the longest break I had since I’ve started working.
The last day of my short vacation was spent with Chic. I’ve met her in photography class way back in 2008. We were in our second year in college then. She’s taking up Architecture (while Accountancy for me). We were the youngest in the class.
Every time I’m with her, I feel like my life is soooo boring. I didn’t intend mine to be one. It was just somewhat a wrong choice of field and the lack of having adventurous people around.
Anyway, Chic and I are thinking of whole day activity. Going to Corregidor was a nice plan but when the thought of a spa and relaxing came out… That’s it!
It was the best way to catch up. We even exceeded the allowed time in staying in the spa place and we were charged for that. (: We had to seize the day because we both know it will take ages for us to hangout again. She then brought me to the tea place she has been talking about (I think it has already been a year). It’s the Hausbesetzer Laboratory at 10a Alabama, Quezon City. Sadly, the tea place is already closed but we were allowed to get inside still because the handicrafts and antique stuff are still showcased there. I didn’t realize what I’ve missed not until I’ve read OurAwesomePlanet’s blog here o.
In our conversations, I have told Chic that my college friends and I love the movie One More Chance so much, that it is our inspiration for our monthly hangout after college. We were driven by their hangout and get-together every Thursday night at the restaurant owned by the couples in the group. Chic told me she knew where the restaurant is and I was ecstatic to see it. So our last stop was for the day is at Cubao Expo to see Bellini’s Italian restaurant. We didn’t eat there though because we’re still full from the early dinner we had at the Spa place (The whole body massage comes with a Buffet at Wensha).
Chic loves doing a summary photo for her everyday beat. Here’s ours:
To end the day, we both had beers. She doesn’t know that I don’t drink but since we seldom hangout like this, I gave San Miguel flavored beer a try. I was surprised it tasted well. It was the first beer I’ve ever drunk more than half of the bottle. I tried to finish it but I really can’t.
Chic described our friendship as “low maintenance”. I agree to that. We didn’t have to see or talk to each other often to keep our friendship. The start of our conversation whenever we hangout will always begin from the last part we’ve talked about before and we don’t forget.
For our February hangout, we have decided to enjoy the cool breeze of Tagaytay. We have planned a small itinerary like stops at a few places before we hit Tagaytay.
The first stop was at Paseo de Sta. Rosa. Since it was lunch my ftiends have decided to eat first. I was itching to look at the stores so I’ve told them that I’ll just follow them. Yes, I know my priorities.
They have already finished eating but I still haven’t got back. I them them that I won’t eat anymore because I’m finishing with my shopping. They were surprised to see me buying these:
Include the boxes at the back. You just can’t ignore the sale. The rest of the girls hunted the shoes for them too.
Then the crave for more shoes wasn’t over. After shopping at Paseo, we headed to Nuvalli for another round. Oh Payless. It was indeed pay less.
The car was so full! We can barely get inside anymore. Shopping satisfied. I guess that’s it for 2012. Haha. Kidding!!
A big HI from our shoes! Shoes shoes shoes. Gotta love!
Thanks to our guys for the patience. I know this wasn’t in our plan and it consumed so much of our time. The girls are the only one so blissful. But I guess the guys are happy enough to see us happy.
Cheers for the heels!
Belated happy birthday!
You look pretty with your new look Mil. I’m saying it just because it’s your birthday month.
Thanks Lea for initiating the lunch date!
Blogging while at work. :)
