Cloud Forest at Gardens By The Bay

One of my happiest alone time was when I spend some hours inside these indoor conservatories.

Upon entering the Cloud Forest, you will be welcomed by the mist of the world’s tallest indoor waterfall. This showcases plant life from Tropical highlands.

Ascend to the mountaintop in comfort by lift before descending via two walkways in the clouds for an aerial view of the canopy and mountainside below. So I took the lift and officially started my tour from atop. Life is amazing. That was everything I could say. I love nature and I love this idea.

Shell’s Pearl Awards 2014 at Makati Shangri-La

I had the chance to attend this awards night in support for my MIT colleagues awardee.

Thanks to my friend, Jew for the dress that people loved! I did my own hair and make up and I used the shoes I last wore on my College Graduation Day. I just seized the moment basically to just dress up. (:

I had fun with my colleagues and the awardees are such an inspiration! One day it would be my time too.

Cheers to life and success!

Pearl Wedding Anniversary

I am just as surprised that my parents’ renewal of vows for their 25th Silver wedding anniversary happened 5 years ago. And here’s a throwback.

Image

Now for my parents’ 30th Wedding Anniversary, my sisters and I planned (well, I initiated it) an intimate dinner for our family and with two closest relatives and one family friend. So we were 11 in total.

I wanted a private dinner. Romulo’s Cafe in Tomas Morato came to my mind since we had dinners there already and we saw their small rooms but I wanted a more elegant looking place but having the same budget. So I have been searching in google since I don’t have time for an ocular. A lot of restaurants showed up especially in BGC area but unfortunately, way over my budget. Good thing I came across ThaiPan! A Thai restaurant which is a stone’s throw away from Romulo’s. My sister and I visited the place a few days before and it’s perfect. Plus we have not dined here so perfect to venture a new restaurant. We had made a reservation and they did not ask for any reservation fee. Probably because it’s on a Monday. The room fits 12 for P5,000 consumable. There is also a room which can fit 25 pax for P12,000 consumable.

Our neighbor made the cake for my parents. I’m just thankful that a good supplier for cakes and cupcakes is near our place! I only gave her an idea of how I wanted the cake to look like and she had executed it very well.

Everyone loved the food and drink! The Tah Koh Sakhoo dessert is a must try. Their PadThai would not disappoint you. The cucumber drink though, don’t get it if you are not so into cucumber. (:

The bill got a little over than P5,000 plus I got the cake for a discounted price of P1,300. Another mission accomplished!

I would really love to be a party planner/organizer. That is why I put up things like this when possible. Good thing people, like my sisters, are there to support financially. Haha.

But the main purpose is really to celebrate the love my parents had been sharing not just for the two of them but also for us, their children. 30 years. Wow.

Cheers to love!

Online Shopping!

Online Shopping!

I was in a hiatus with my relationship with online shopping due to an incident where I was credited for about eight thousand pesos for a purchase that didn’t push through. Okay, I was purchasing an MK bag which is on sale at Macy’s site and the site said that my purchase couldn’t push through but upon checking my CC account… viola! For a yuppie like me, I can’t afford to be P8,000 poorer for nothing. Fortunately, after a few months of battling with Macy’s and my bank, I was able to get it back. I told myself then that enough with this online shopping.

But you know, true love never dies. (:

The convenience plus the varieties of products you see online, I cannot just give it up… especially when it’s on sale!!

I am a dealgrocer fan. I quit looking at cashcashpinoy, metrodeal, beeconomic and the others because it became so mainstream plus they sell just about everything. It’s hard to believe that you’re really getting a good deal. Dealgrocer is different. And I want things which are different and not mainstream. (:

I got the deal there for my soul-calming escapade at The Farm in San Benito and a sumptuous Early Bird Breakfast Club lunch which my boyfriend claimed to be his favorite restaurant in town. The discounts are real and the suppliers are great.

It is also through dealgrocer that I found out a heaven for people like me who loves cute and girly stuff and discounts. Taste Central is definitely the place. I love their taste. So one day I wasn’t able to fight the urge of buying accessories so placed my order and I was surprised to receive the parcel just the day after! And it did came in a box as seen in the screenshot.

This is not a promotional blog or how I wish I could get something for blogging this (haha) but I love sharing and I love good service so this deserves to be noted!

Cheers to more deals!!

By now you had a glimpse of what my boyfriend is liKe. First and foremost, I never thought I’ll get a proposal in this conversation. Haha. Kidding. But I love what he said about # 30 and how he emphasized to me #24. Success in life is measured on… well, it depends on you. But for me, being successful is living each day in happiness. And being financially stable and worry-free especially on debts are big contributors. Cheers to life and let’s get this done!

05/26/2014

It is not often that I do get a holiday but the best thing is, it won’t be everyone’s holiday so I can spend it in a normally crowded places for holidays in Manila.

For today, boyf and I had an awesome agenda.
-Lunch at Ikkoryu Fukuoka Ramen
-Watch X-men
-Spa at Toccare Spa
-Dinner at Burger King

Century Mall is now our favorite mall because we love the restaurants there and the ambiance of the place. Probably bec it is just new. I love the architecture and designs esp the cinema. Chic and clean. Gem approved!

Hongkong!

It’s certainly one of the places worth spending for! If I am as rich (or maybe the right term is as corrupt) as Janel Lim Napoles, I would certainly spend every weekend in Hongkong! I love just about everything! I love experiencing the first world.

Went to Ocean Park on the day after going to Macau. I have not been to Ocean Park so I’m just excited plus I had experienced being on the second deck of a bus! My little joys in life!

Dolphins! ????????????? ????????????? ????????????? ????????????? DCIM100GOPRO ????????????? ????????????? ?????????????

Then the following day was set for Disneyland! I don’t mind going back here because it’s certainly the happiest place on earth! Ocean Park is definitely way larger than Disneyland but I prefer being here. You can really feel the vibe they wanted to bring in you. This time we’re with two of my travel buddy’s friends.

I always get goosebumps during the fireworks. I swear it’s majestic.

If you know me, you probably know my undying love for Winnie The Pooh! And it’s a joy to be back with my first love! (: It’s noticeable how Pooh dislikes my travel buddy. Haha.

We didn’t get to experience much of HK’s food due to time constraints though we tried how McDonald’s and Pepper Lunch tastes there! Haha. I know. Next time I’ll make sure to hunt for the best food in HK.

Till we see again Hongkong! Next time it would be for a staycation and binging on good food!

It’s always hard to leave this place.
