Christmas season once again and it’s the time of gift giving. I am not successful in buying gifts for my loved ones this year because I hardly had the time and the Christmas rush thing is making me unwell.
I was able to buy gifts for my workmates, godchildren and my lucky sister though.
Gifts for my workmates
Gifts for my Godchildren
Gifts for my sister
I’ll make sure next year I’ll give something special for my family and close friends. I’m gonna make it up.
My most soul-calming holiday to date. And for sure my girl friend, Chic, would agree with me too.
The reception area where you get served by fresh coconut juice and wet towel upon arrival. It is also the place where they serve free afternoon tea and snacks.
Peaceful isn’t it?
Calming isn’t it?
Relaxing isn’t it?
The Spa Area
Peacocks are just roaming casually all over the place.
There are three pools in The Farm – two infinity pools and one small pool with waterfalls.
ALIVE restaurant. The only restaurant in the Farm. It serves fully vegan dishes. The breakfast was superb and our 5 -course vegan meal dinner was unexpectedly good! The presentation of every dish made it more appetizing and eating it all is guilt-free.
And the best thing for us in this place is our the Sulu Terrace! There are more luxurious and bigger villas in the place but I wouldn’t choose anything else but this Sulu Terrace if you’re just two.
Intricate carving on the door
Chic and I lovin’ our elf room so much!
We are definitely wow-ed by the simplicity of the room. It’s simply refreshing and relaxing. The bathroom is located at the back of the chill-out area. The bathroom has complete toiletries plus organic scrub that will make even your bath experience soothing. (:
Chic and I at The Farm
There was a ‘bayong’ in the room and guests can use it to carry their stuff whenever they go out of our room. It adds us to the The Farm feeling.
Our The Farm experience was nothing short of magical. We enjoy the lush surroundings and the relaxing activities. It makes you stress free even just for a stint.
We left the place with a happy heart.
So what’s inside my bag today? My for-everyday-make-up kit, Esprit pouch that holds my chargers, earphones, flashdrive etc, 2013 Little Prince Molsekine Planner (Thanks Kyels!), unbranded Wallet, Umbrella, Elizabeth Arden Perfume (My favorite!), Bath&Body Lotion, Antibacterial Hand Sanitizer, Pochi coin purse, My Blacberry Torch and My iPod.
Just a pinch of randomness today.
I couldn’t believe it! I couldn’t believe that it has been a year already. When I started working, I knew that I wouldn’t last for a few months. That I will just eventually give up and resign. But no, I managed to get through a year. Oh wow! It feels like three years of work already. Seriously.
Above everything, I am very grateful for my work. It was tough and yo have no idea how much I have been through but I cannot deny the fact that I have learned a lot too. I know I have grown professionally and for me, it was such a nice training ground. I want to stay in the company for another year but I have to contemplate very hard if this is the field I would want to push through. It’s so hard to decide which career path to take. Sometimes I wish someone could just decide for me. But of course, it’s only me who knows want I want for myself, supposedly. I’m still undecided up to now though.
Anyway, I have gained a lot at work and one of it is weight. Hee. :D
First day at work (L) vs One year after (R)
I present to you my one and only slacks. I managed to go through a year with only one. Teehee. I can still count in my hands the times I’ve worn trousers. I wear dresses or skirts mostly at work because it’s what I find comfortable to wear. Looking corporate is vital at work especially at my workplace but I have not been compliant. I might change on 2013. Haha.
So here’s a cheers for more enjoyment (be positive!), learning, hardships, moolahs and eyebags work will bring in my life!
My baby brother loves to take photos. Of course he got it from our dad. He has been begging Pops to give him a DSLR but his charms haven’t worked yet. He has been taking photos and videos the whole duration of our trip. It was so cute whenever he asks me to pose because the view was nice and all. :D He now has a point-and-shoot camera and he never fails to bring it wherever we we go.
We love this kid so much I hope he’ll accept whatever we have to confess in the future. I hope he has seen all our love for him much more than what his camera could see.
Photos taken by my baby brother (he’s still a baby to me) using his camera/video cam.
It was nice to see a little bit of KL before heading to Singapore to visit my sister. It was just a stint but I enjoyed it nonetheless. I only got to see the Petronas Tower for a few minutes then a quick hangout with my friend, Kyles, at The Pavillion for late dinner. My family and I headed to Sing the morning after.
I have to go back to KL the soonest. I wish I could early or mid next year.
Breakfast and Lunch were part of the tour package in our Palawan Trip. So for our dinner, we tried the recommended restaurants on us and one of it was Ka Lui.
Bahay Kubo feel and you have to go bare foot at Ka Lui. Seafood, veggies and fruits on the menu. The food was just average but you cannot miss the Ka Lui experience when you’re in Palawan. It is such a nice and very neat place. The bathroom is so clean too. (:
